CURRENT TEACHING SERIES
Foretold
Dec 1 – Dec 24 | 10 AM (except Dec. 23 + 24)
Every year we anticipate Christmas for a long period of time – kids make wish lists, adults make plans, work and home invite to events. But then it suddenly arrives and quickly disappears. The new year with it’s demands steals our focus and, in retrospect, we note that our anticipation was more about the, often hectic, responsibilities of Christmas and less on the remarkable person of Jesus. John, the gospel writer, penned these words near the beginning of Revelation: “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.” Then in his last chapter he wrote, “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.” This Christmas we will revisit the entire story of Jesus, but in a way that allows us to see the big picture of this remarkable tale.
