ADULTING | Pursuing Spiritual Growth and Maturity
September 17 - October 22 | Two services at 9 AM + 11 AM
If you haven’t heard it (or don’t use it) already, you’ll hear it soon: adult as a verb, as in “would someone please teach me how to adult” or as a common noun, as in “adulting is hard” or “I’m not very good at adulting.” To adult is to behave like an adult, to do the things that adults regularly have to do. This includes things like cooking, laundry, living independently, and making and keeping dental appointments. Spiritual maturity, like adulting, involves taking responsibility for myself and taking responsibility for the commitments I have made to others. The key to spiritual growth is not a mystery or a secret, it is saying “yes” to all that God asks – doing only what He asks. Nothing more. Nothing less. It is our hope that each Sunday we will discover more ways to grow practically, and understand what biblical spiritual maturity really is.
